PUTRAJAYA - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has admitted that some of his “Keluarga Malaysia” Cabinet members have performed well while others not so much.

He said the achievements of every minister were measured by various aspects including their effort in tackling issues mainly related to their own ministries.

“We should have carried the assessment last week but had to postpone it due to the Parliament session.

"In general, I see that the achievements of the ministry and ministers are not perfect even though some have shown good performance, (some) not good," he said in an interview in conjunction with his one year anniversary in office recently.

However, he said overall, many issues involving the people was dealt immediately despite facing many constraints.

Therefore, he said, the performance of each Cabinet member was not only judged by their success or failure as many other aspects were taken into consideration.

"For example, there used to be an uproar over the price of chicken that gone up to RM13 per kg but now the price has dropped.

"So are the prices of oil and iron going down. So we see success as a whole, not just on certain things only," said the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, when asked if there was any acts of sabotage since the current government consists of different parties, Ismail Sabri denied that such things were happening.

Ismail Sabri, who is also Umno Vice President, said all parties were professional and that every issues raised were discussed and approved together in Cabinet meetings.

He added that issues discussed in Cabinet was not only related to the political parties but also the people, county and economy as the main focus of the government was to help people and develop the country.

“Actually I didn’t face big problems because most of them in Cabinet have been a minister before.

“For example, some of the ministers from Bersatu and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) were those who struggled together in Barisan Nasional,” he said.
