SHAH ALAM - The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department is currently on standby mode at Taman Sri Muda, here following the sudden water level rise in the area.

This comes after a heavy downpour yesterday which has set fear among the residents.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said the water level had started to subside yesterday evening.

“Flood warnings are also currently at a safe level. But we are still on standby mode and have prepared five boats at the location with 24 officers to immediate help,” he told Sinar Daily.

While in social media, residents in the area have shown concerns as they still grapple over one of the worst December floods with water rising to rooftops, causing residents to be stranded for over 48 hours.
