SHAH ALAM – Police confirmed no child abduction case took place in Genting Highland, Pahang, as claimed on social media yesterday.

Bentong police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said no report had been made regarding the alleged child abduction case.

He said his department only received a report from Genting Highlands security regarding a one-minute 20 seconds video that made its round on social media yesterday.

“The Genting Highlands security department has filed a police report regarding the video on Sept 19 at 8.16pm.

“Bentong district police also confirms of not receiving any reports from involved parties, however, Bentong police will carry out an investigation and probe the TikTok account owner for more information,” he said in a statement.

Zaiham also requested the cooperation of all parties not to make any speculations and give space to the police to carry out further investigations.

Earlier, the man who uploaded the video claimed that two female foreigners from Pakistan and Indonesia nearly kidnapped a child at Genting Highland indoor theme park yesterday.

“We were on a roller coaster ride when we saw my friend’s child surrounded by these two ladies wearing ‘telekung’,” he claimed.
