SHAH ALAM - Maxis eKelas' popular Anugerah Gemilang, a student grant initiative, is back to inspire students to attain their academic goals by rewarding those who have shown academic improvement.

Targeting form one to form five students, the scheme will reward cash grants to up to 100 students, based on strict evaluation and assessment with one-grade improvement in two or all three subjects taught in eKelas - English, Science and Mathematics.

Eligible students can submit their final school exam results from the previous and current school years to receive RM600 and RM1,200. It will be paid into the students' National Education Savings Scheme (Skim Simpanan Pendidikan Nasional) accounts.

Maxis Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Mariam Bevi Batch said Maxis is proud of the continued growth of eKelas over the years and the scheme is a popular and key highlight of the programme and a great incentive for students.

“We have received encouraging responses in submissions in the past, and we urge more students to register with eKelas now and take the first step by completing the assessment quizzes on the portal,” she said in a statement.

Maxis eKelas uses a fun and dynamic method of teaching and offers quality educational content aligned with the national syllabus and as an after-school digital learning project for students.

eKelas offers a comprehensive digital learning experience that includes possibilities for students to participate in campaigns such as HIP StoryFest, as well as STEM competitions for coding, creative and designing thinking skills, and essay writing competitions.

Students are exposed to experiential learning through a combination of live tutorials, group learning, contests, and digital information via the portal and app, with a focus on Science, Mathematics, and English.

To be eligible for the award, students must complete pre and post-assessment tests on the eKelas portal between now and December 31.
