SHAH ALAM - Pas has set a stand to continue working with Umno and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) in facing the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15).

Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said the party would continue to unify the ummah through commitment which involved three core Malay parties in order to guarantee the country's political stability after GE15.

“Pas also believe there should be a flexibility in the discussion with Umno and Bersatu including the rules given and discussion of seats,” he said in a statement today.

Previously, Pas held a Central Working Committee Meeting at its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur to discuss the election and finalise cooperation between Umno and Bersatu.

It followed Umno’s three conditions which they set for PAS to work with the party to face GE15.

Moreover, Hadi also insisted that Pas, which led the governments of Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah, would not raise the issue of the dissolution of the State Legislature (DUN) in the near future.

He explained that it was to focus on preparing for the monsoon season which was expected from mid-November until March 2023, in addition to efforts and measures to recover the economy post-Covid-19.
