KUALA LUMPUR - Only Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is eligible to answer about the disappointment of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah which led to the latter acceding to the former's request to dissolve the parliament.

Umno vice president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the matter will likely be clarified within a few days.

"I think the Prime Minister will answer in a day or two.

"During the meeting of the party's political bureau, Ismail Sabri mentioned about it when we asked what the disappointment of the Agong meant.

"So, Ismail Sabri is the 'best person' to answer what the disappointment is," he said.

The Istana Negara statement today said the Sultan Abdullah expressed disapointment at the current political developments adding that His Majesty had no choice but to approve the Prime Minister's request to return the mandate to the people to elect a stable government.
