Disappointed with Umno, 338 members join Bersatu in Bachok

KOTA BHARU - Almost 340 members have quit Umno for Bersatu in Bachok, said Senok Tok Pakeh Umno Branch chief.
Che Ramli Haron said they had submitted the application on Saturday during a farewell programme, here.
Bersatu supreme council member Mohd Zulkifli Zakaria claimed that more than 5,000 Umno members joined his party.
"We now have 15,000 new members. We are confident that Perikatan Nasional (PN) can take control of Putrajaya after GE15," he said in a statement, today.
Zulkifli, the head of Bersatu's Bachok’ branch said he would continue the campaign to invite more new members, especially young members to join the party.
Meanwhile, Che Ramli expressed disappointment with Umno central leadership.
He claimed that the party leadership was only thinking about power and position without any regard to the lives of the people in distress.
"We are very disappointed and have decided to join this party (Bersatu)," he said.
