Over the years, there’s been a fair share of inclusive policies and “sloganeering” aimed to embrace the spirit of unity and respect among all Malaysians such as “1Malaysia” and “Keluarga Malaysia” but many turn the other eye when they go down to the ground reverting to their use of racial rhetoric to seize and maintain power.
This creates expectations and promises of race-based approaches towards policy planning to continue, thus the question here is - What is the way forward? What do Malaysians want and need?
