TAMPIN - DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke Siew Fook claims that Malay voters have lost their trust in Umno when its president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is still contesting in the 15th General Election (GE15).

He said Malay voters felt that Umno was no longer relevant and had no trust to lead the administration and the government.

"To my knowledge, never in the history of Umno has the announcement of its candidate been incomplete.

"I have never heard of an Umno minister being dropped and the operations room was closed," he said during his speech at Anwar Ibrahim’s tour to Negeri Sembilan in the Repah State Assembly Service Centre, here, on Monday.

He said BN today was not the same as the previous BN because what was left in the party was Umno while MCA and MIC were seen as 'half dead'.

He said he believed that the Chinese community would no longer put their trust in MCA as well as the Indian community in MIC.

"MCA is no longer relevant for the Chinese and BN only left with one 'body' without 'arms and legs'.

"MIC on the other hand was quite dramatic and said they wanted to boycott the election but within 24 hours they returned to Umno.
