KOTA KINABALU - Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) has stated that it has never approved Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) to contest in any parliamentary constituency in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Its chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said Sabah BN said this was to avoid clash with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), but the instruction was ignored.

"Our position was clear, we did not allow and approve PBRS to contest in any seats because it is against our negotiations with GRS," he told reporters after a programme held with BN candidate for the Sepanggar Parliament Datuk Yakub Khan at Dewan Kampung Warisan, Inanam, here, on Tuesday.

He said this in relation to PBRS's action to field Datuk Ewon Ebin as a candidate to contest under the PBRS ticket in the Ranau Parliament where GRS candidate Datuk Jonathan Yasin was contesting to defend his seat.

Bung Moktar said it was difficult to take any action as the candidate contested using their own party logo.

On Sabah BN’s manifesto, he said there will be special additions for Sabah.

"We will add it on when it is almost done, it will be announced this week. It’s not much (additions), two or three issues.

"The manifesto must come from the Sabah leaders, we have already structured it and will table it later as an addition in the context of Sabah," he said.
