SHAH ALAM - All 15th General Election (GE15) candidates should do the Rasuah Busters psychometric test (RBTag).

Malaysian Community Care Foundation (MCCF) Datuk Seri Halim Ishak deemed it as a necessary step to ensure the candidates were not only of integrity but as a person who would unlikely participate in corruption.

For the first time since its establishment last year, the RBTag test can be conducted online for all candidates nationwide.

He said the RBTag test results can be used by candidates to promote themselves as someone who was not prone to corruption and abuse of power.

Not only would it give the candidate “extra flair” when it comes to their personality and image, he said RBTag was also the best measuring stick to identify how far a person's tendency was towards two important factors in being a leader.

He said these key factors were integrity and trust.

"The belief and practice of those values can be observed and evaluated to the extent of the tendency of the candidates who are contesting. "All personal information and test results of candidates who take the RBTag test are the property of the candidates themselves and will never be disclosed by anyone else.

“The results are confidential," he told the Rasuah Busters crew on Wednesday.

The RBTag psychometric test is a collaboration of MCCF with Yayasan Sinar Untuk Malaysia (YSUM) and TAJMA-MyTAG to enable all parties to assess the level of corruption and abuse of power.

Halim said the typical anti-corruption pledge chimed by political parties and signed by its member were insufficient in today’s day and age.

Contrary to the RBTag psychometric test, he said the GE15 candidates can demonstrate their firmness and sincerity against the culture of corruption.

"To all candidates from Barisan Nasional, Pakatan Harapan, Perikatan Nasional and Gerakan Tanah Air or Pejuang Tanah Air, as well as independent candidates, they do not need to feel distressed and afraid to undergo this test.

"On the contrary, it can be an added value and the best ‘chance’ for candidates to face the voters during the campaign period by stating that they are against corruption and possess integrity.

“Malaysians have the rights to ensure that their candidates and representatives have successfully taken the RBTag psychometric test.

“The test is based on scientific data and is seen as very relevant and important to implement at this point," he said.

On Friday, Rasuah Busters announced the test would be free to all GE15 candidates.
