SHAH ALAM – New voters have still yet to decide on choosing their candidate of choice for the 15th General Election (GE15) even though campaigns have been ongoing for a week.

Student Adiana Akilah Tuan Razak, 21, said the campaign that was held almost every day by political parties has not helped her much in deciding.

“I don’t know who to choose, but I want a leader who has a vision, who can advance the country and not just engage in politics because the current situation is quite difficult,” she said.

Her friend Aifa Syahirah Azizan, 21, said the ceramah (talks) and GE15 campaigns will not influence her to decide as she will cast her vote based on the parties and the issues brought forth.

“I need to choose a stable government through a party that is stable and not the other way around because the mistake of choosing has an impact on the country,” she said.

Aifa will be casting vote in Kubang Pasu, Kedah.

Another student Syahirah M. Yusoff, 21, said she would return to vote in Tumpat, Kelantan and would make a last-minute decision on which party she would support.

“The decision is not influenced by my family, I will choose a candidate that is capable of bringing change instead of basing it on party popularity,” she said.

A businessman, Abdullah Hussin, 60, said that the political crisis that has plagued the country has made it difficult for him to choose who to vote for in his constituency.

However, he said will focus on choosing an experienced candidate that is wise enough to lead.

“As long as they are responsible and they perform their duties with full trust, dedication and discipline, it is enough,” he said.

Meanwhile, a private sector worker Rohani Abdul Rani, 47, said she sort of has an idea of which candidateshe plans to vote for.

“Ceramah and GE15 campaigns did not influence me because I have my own choice.
