KLUANG - No political party can consider itself in the comfort zone until voters make their decisions on polling day on November 19.

Despite numerous reports and studies on voter support, Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) Johor Chairman Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad stressed that no party should be complacent.

"Each party has its own strategy with programmes and various campaign approaches and until November 19, no party is in the comfort zone to win," he said when met at a futsal competition at Kampung Ibrahim Majid Community Hall here on Sunday.

A recent Merdeka Centre survey reported that Malay voter support was more favourable towards Perikatan Nasional (PN) by 35 per cent and BN by 25 per cent.

As the BN Johor election director, as well as a BN candidate in the Simpang Renggam Parliament, Hasni affirmed that he will continuously monitor the development of the 26 Parliaments contested by BN in the state.

"I will make sure that there are no weaknesses in the forms of neglect, complacency and bad attitude when organizing programmes at the BN machinery level,” he said.

Hasni also advised all BN machinery to strengthen their work and not to respond to any provocations during the campaign.

"BN needs to avoid a backlash. I hope we're all mature in the face of the (opposition) campaign method," he said.
