SHAH ALAM - Muda candidate for the Tanjong Karang parliamentary seat, Siti Rahayu Baharin says her party has even received RM1 for her 15th General Election (GE15) crowdfunding campaign.

She expressed her gratitude to all the funders and would like to honour them.

“People do donate. They are very generous and have donated RM1, RM10 so I think it will take some timefor me to really get that RM200,000 (target) for the election.

“However, we try our best to get it and most importantly we want it to be transparent because we’re using public donation,” she told Sinar Daily's Politically Frank.

For the upcoming GE15, Siti Rahayu raised a crowdfund through social media targeting RM200,000 for the cost of nomination and campaigning.

However, she has yet to even collected half the targeted amount.

To ensure transparency of the funds, Siti Rahayu said a proper auditing on the usage of the RM200,000 will be carried out.
