KUALA LUMPUR - Caretaker International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali casted his vote at Sekolah Kebangsaan Klang Gate here this morning.

Azmin, the incumbent Gombak member of parliament described the voting process in his constituency as smooth despite gloomy weather and slight drizzles earlier in the morning.

“I would like to invite those who are eligible to come and vote, especially the young people. They should come out early, as this will decide the future leader of the country,” said Azmin who is seeking a fourth term as the Gombak member of parliament.

However, Azmin, who won the previous three elections as a PKR candidate, is contesting as a Perikatan Nasional candidate for the first time.

The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) vice president is facing a five-corner battle against Pakatan Harapan's Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, Barisan Nasional's Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin, Gerakan Tanah Air's Aziz Jamaludin Mohd Tahir and independent candidate Zulkifli Ahmad.
