KUALA LUMPUR - A total of 588 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are pushing for all members of parliament to follow the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's decree and form a unity government.

Yayasan Pembangunan Buku Negara president Dr Hasan Hamzah said that such was the best solution given the ongoing deadlock that has plagued the country over the past four days since November 19 national polls.

"We, 588 NGOs have banded together and tomorrow will submit a memo to the Istana Negara," he said here at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre today.

"This is not the time for national or regional partisan politics.

The NGO representatives are also concern about current inflation and instability in Malaysia due to the hung parliament.

Recently, these NGOs also expressed their support for Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to be the 10th Prime Minister.
