Tengku Zafrul missed the special Cabinet meeting due to business in Qatar

PUTRAJAYA - International Trade and Industry Minister (MITI), Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz was missing in action today at a special Cabinet meeting of the Unity Government here on Monday.

The meeting had started at 10 am.

It was understood that Tengku Zafrul had business in Qatar, however, it was not specified what the business was about.

The first cabinet meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and was attended by all Cabinet ministers except for Tengku Zafrul.

Anwar unveiled his Cabinet lineup in a televised speech on Dec 2, taking charge of the Finance Ministry portfolio and appointing two deputy prime ministers and 28 ministers.

Most of the cabinet ministers clocked into their respective officers today before attending the meeting.
