SHAH ALAM - The My #QuranTime 2.0 (MQT2.0) programme has presented a new approach in its content to help viewers study the Quran more deeply.

Qari (Quran reciter) Tarmizi Abdul Rahman said unlike the first season, this time, the programme would involve face-to-face interaction through a special tajwid (rules on Quranic pronounciation) segment with participants who are physically present.

"Previously we only interacted with Sahabah Al-Quran on Facebook and we only interacted online. But this time, our emphasis in tajwid is deeper in a special segment," he told Sinar Harian on Sunday.

There will be a total of 2,111 episodes for the second season of MQT which will return on Dec 14. It will be aired on all My #QuranTime and Sinar Harian social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and TikTok.

Tarmizi said an additional element will also be included in MQT2.0 which is the introduction of a memorisation segment.

"Before this, we only recite, but this time, there is a memorisation segment for the participants.

"So as we learn tajwid and memorise, it will further strengthen the audience's learning," he said.

Tarmizi explained that the learning approach is also suitable for various age groups from adults to school students.

He said plans are also being made to invite students from schools or universities to attend the programme which will be conducted at the Karangkraf Complex in Section 15, here.

"So we hope that the those involved will be able to arrange accordingly because we want to apply elements of tajwid and commendable recitation starting from our children," he said.
