SHAH ALAM - Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today hoped the newly-appointed head of mission, will raise Malaysia's image globally.

Zahid said this was important to ensure that the country becomes a high-impact regional investment destination, thus boosting economic growth.

"Today, I had the opportunity to meet with the head of mission, who will begin their responsibilities in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Germany, Pakistan, and New Zealand.

"I take this opportunity to wish them good luck and hope that all the heads of mission will serve with excellence to raise Malaysia's image on the international front.

"It is hoped that the diplomatic efforts carried out will further boost the country's economic growth towards becoming a high-impact and sustainable regional investment destination," he said on a Facebook post.

He said he was confident that the task delegated to them could be carried out well.

Both Malaysia and foreign countries must work hard to enjoy mutual benefits, Zahid said.

"I am confident and believe that this assignment will be carried out well, and all efforts must be made to ensure that two-way relations between the countries can be increased to a more comprehensive level and benefit everyone," he commented.
