KUALA LUMPUR - The Members of Parliaments (MPs) officially take their oath at the first parliamentary meeting today.
It was led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the Tambun MP.
This was followed by the two deputy prime ministers Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (BN-Bagan Datuk) and Datuk Seri Fadilah Yusof (GPS - Petra Jaya), Transport Minister Anthony Loke (PH-Seremban) and Mohamed Sabu (PH-Kota Raja).
Next, oath-taking was followed by other MPs who promised to conduct their responsibilities and pledged their loyalties to the country.
All elected representatives took their respective oath before newly elected Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Johari Abdul in the first day of the Dewan Rakyat sitting in Parliament House.
