Replace Rafizi with Jo Ghani, Wan Saiful says

SHAH ALAM - Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Information Chief Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan suggests that Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani replace Rafizi Ramli as Economy Minister if the Pandan MP continues to be incompetent in his duties.

He said Johari was far more authoritative and not as childish as Rafizi, who seemed to have sought political revenge.

"The purpose of the government was not to attack individuals, but the government should aid the people no matter the political beliefs.

"At this time, we should look into how to start the supply-side reform to have a long-term solution for price hikes.

"Policies related to incentives, taxation, subsidies and export regulations are all things that the government can use to aid the people," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

Last Friday, Rafizi said consumers needed to play a role in making supply and demand for goods more elastic, including by not buying products that were sold at higher prices than before.

Wan Saiful said the arrogant attitude of Pakatan Harapan (PH) - Barisan Nasional (BN) is causing them always to go astray when the real goal should be to produce ideas to aid the people.

"But due to their arrogance, PH-BN still want their revenge if anyone criticises them. As a result, the idea of solving people's problems is still not present.

"While the former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Perikatan Nasional (PN) held power, we were concerned about the welfare of all the people, and we have never intended for PH to 'sit down'.

"It doesn't matter if it was PH or PN, we will help all, that was the difference between a fair PN government and the incompetent PH-BN government," he said.
