Malaysian youth have the right to freedom of speech, says Adam Adli

SHAH ALAM - The Malaysian youth have the right to freedom of speech, as long as it does not conflict with the Federal Constitution.

Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim said the unity government would give space for the youth to express their opinions and thoughts.

“As long as it does not conflict with the Federal Constitution, it should not be a problem.

“The government should not hinder the youth from expressing themselves but if it goes against the Federal Constitution, then there will be a need to educate them,” he told Sinar Daily during his visit at the Karangkraf Media Group headquarters, here, earlier today.

Meanwhile, Adam, who is also the of PKR Youth (AMK) chief said the wing would take huge steps to include youth to be more involved in the Malaysian community.

“Youth are responsible to be a leader in the community, “It is our (AMK) responsibility of the party to be a gateway and a bridge to the Malaysian youth”, he said.

The Hang Tuah Jaya MP said that younger generation needed to be active in communication as well as develop leadership.
