Zahid has spoken to Bung, everything is calm in Sabah for now - PM

This was following several incidences since Friday which have resulted in a political turmoil in the state.
Anwar, who is also Pakatan Harapan chairman said that he had reached out to party leaders in the state to get latest updates on the situation in Sabah.
The PH chairman said he had contacted some of the party's main leaders in the state to get the latest information on the issue.
"I have spoken to the Chief Minister who is also the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and I was told that Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had already spoken to Sabah Umno liaison committee chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.
"He has assured that the situation is under control now and God willing, we will make sure that the state management will not be affected as is not affected because our priority is to generate the economy and look after the interests of the people," he said.
Anwar was met after chairing the PH Presidential Council at the PKR headquarter here on Saturday.
Sinar Harian reported that Hajiji was seen entering Istana Seri Kinabalu, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, believed to be visiting the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin on Saturday afternoon.
However, the purpose of the meeting it is not known.
On Friday, Sabah Umno and BN announced they have withdrew their support for Hajiji as chief minister.
Bung Moktar, who is also Sabah BN chairman, said he thinks that the current state government under Hajiji's leadership is no longer functioning.
At the same time, three more Sabah assemblymen from Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM also expressed that Hajiji has lost majority support as Sabah's chief minister.
On the other hand, GRS secretary-general, Masidi Manjun claimed that the coalition had more than enough majority support from assemblymen.
He added that there is no merit to Bung Moktar's claim that Hajiji has no locus standi or legal right to continue as the Sabah chief minister.
He said Hajiji and all former Bersatu assemblymen who left the party last month were all direct members of GRS.
According to the current number of seats, BN has 18 seats in the State Assembly while GRS has 29 seats.
Meanwhile, Parti Warisan (Warisan) has 19 state assembly seats and Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sabah has seven state assembly seats.
It is known that no single party could form a government with a simple majority of 40 seats in Sabah.
On a separate matter, Anwar who is also PKR president said that his party has not yet received any invitation to attend the Umno General Assembly next week.
