The 44-year-old princess, warded at the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in Bangkok since Dec 15, was receiving medical support for "her heart, lungs, and kidney”, according to a statement from the Royal Household Bureau.
It said doctors have concluded the princess unconscious state was due to severe heart arrhythmia resulting from inflammation following a mycoplasma infection.
"Doctors continue to administer medicine as well as using antibiotics while monitoring her condition closely," the statement said.
It was reported that Princess Bajrakitiyabha, the eldest child of Thai King Mahal Vajiralongkorn, collapsed while training her dogs for the Thailand Working Dog Championship in Nakhon Ratchasima province on Dec 15.
She received medical treatment at Pak Chong Nana Hospital in Nakhon Ratchasima province before being flown by helicopter to Chulalongkorn Hospital in Bangkok for further treatment.
Princess Bajrakitiyabha is the only daughter of King Vajiralongkorn and his first wife, Princess Soamsawali.
