Umno General Assembly: Members want clarifications on the direction of the party

Negeri Sembilan Umno Secretary Mustafa Salim said the assembly will offer explanations to party members who are still confused and want clarification from the top leadership, especially in regards to the future of the unity government with Pakatan Harapan (PH).
"Currently, we are still confused. We want to know what is the right direction for the party, and for Negeri Sembilan, we want to know the position of Umno in facing the state election.
"On state seat divisions, it was still unclear what are the seats alotted to Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) with the state election nearing," he said to Sinar Harian on Tuesday.
Mustafa said party members do not want anything extraordinary but only want to ensure the continuity of the party’s struggles to remain relevant in the future.
He said Umno needed to rise again, and what was important was the agenda of the struggle towards race, religion, and the country.
"The assembly is the best time for the party members from all levels to come together for the sake of the party," he said.
