SHAH ALAM - Malays are told not to reject Umno despite its dismal performance in the Nov 19 polls.

Umno's Puteri exco Fadwah Anuwar said it is unfair to judge the party's performance as it could still woo support of Malay voters.

She said this could be seen during pervious state elections and by-elections during and after GE14.

"We have to see previous by-elections results. The ones that formed the government was Umno and BN.

"That is why I say it's a bit unfair if we say the Malays reject the party," she said this at the 378th Wacana Sinar titled 'Parti Melayu hilang taring'.

Also present were Pas Youth Information Director Nazrul Nazir and political analyst Iswardy Morni at Karangkraf Complex, here.

Fadwah said she believes the pattern of voter support will change as more people rely for information over TikTok.

She acknowledged that since 2013 Umno failed to address poor public perception of the party.
