Grassroots' voices need to be taken seriously

SHAH ALAM - The voices of the grassroots need to be taken seriously to overcome the issue of economy, next year.

Umno member Shahrol Azizie Azmi said the challenges for 2023 were huge and it was time for Umno to help the unity government.

“We are going to face economic issues in 2023 and now the people want us together with the unity government to solve this matter,” he told Sinar Daily.

The grassroots and the Umno members wanted the party to be strong to face the 16th General Election (GE16).

“We (Umno) believe and we are confident in the wisdom of the party's top leadership and we are confident that we will find solutions to all the problems,” he said.

The 2022 Umno General Assembly (PAU) will take place for four days starting today (Jan 11).

In today's agenda, the opening ceremony was officiated by Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan at 8.53pm.
