KUALA LUMPUR - The three main wings in Umno did not touch on the actual cause of why the party suffered a substantial lost in the 15th General Election.

Umno exco youth chief Bastien Onn said that all the meetings went well, but failed to mention that integrity was one of the major issues that contributed to the party's downfall in the elections.

" I think our issue is integrity and the youth voters recognises this, this was not mentioned in any of the debates, I am hoping that it will either be discussed today as we will admit that this is one of the causes that has contributed to our loss," he told Sinar Daily on Friday during the 2022 Umno General Assembly (PAU) here at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).

“We have done a lot of things for the people, Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) in particular, and we had governed the country for so long, but the concern of the youth is integrity, and this must be discussed elaborately so that we know what we can bring to people." he said

In last year's 15th General Election (GE15) on November 19, Umno suffered its worst defeat at the national polls, winning only 26 parliamentary seats compared to the 54 that it won in GE14.
