KUALA TERENGGANU - Unofficial discussions with Selangor, Penang and Negeri Sembilan leaders are expected to be held next week to discuss on the date of state elections, said Terengganu Menteri Besar.

Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said they will discuss on holding state elections at the same time.

“We don’t know yet (on simultaneous state elections) until we communicate and discuss with other states. We have discussed informally last year, Insya-Allah we will discuss it as soon as possible,” he said.

He said this after officiating the 2022 YT-TI Young Talent Scholarship Programme Recipient Appreciation Ceremony for 10 outstanding students selected at Wisma Darul Iman, here, today.

Samsuri said he hopes the state election in the six states would be held simultaneously.
