Sabah: Three assemblymen sworn in as assistant ministers

KOTA KINABALU - Three members of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly took their oath of office as assistant ministers at Istana Seri Kinabalu, here today.

They are Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) vice-president, Datuk Ruslan Muharam, who is also the Lumadan assemblyman; Likas assemblyman, Tan Lee Fatt (DAP); and Inanam assemblyman, Peto Gadim (PKR).

All three assemblymen took their oath of office before Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, and later signed their respective letters of appointment, witnessed by Kota Kinabalu High Court Judge Datuk Ismail Brahim.

Also present were Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, Deputy Chief Minister III Datuk Shahelmey Yahya, state Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, and State Secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong.

On Jan 11, Hajiji announced the reshuffle of the Sabah Cabinet, which saw Shahelmy appointed as Deputy Chief Minister III and Masidi appointed as Sabah Minister of Finance. - BERNAMA
