KOTA BHARU - Pas will leave it to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to probe a viral video of members of the party bribing voters.

The party's vice president Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah said MACC has the authority to conduct any investigation.

Whether the case is wrong or otherwise can only be proven in court, he added.

"We are leaving it to MACC because it is their authority to investigate since it is reported and out in the public domain. We have no issues. MACC can do their job.

"We believe no one is guilty until proven and we cannot say so until the court proves it.

"If the legal basis is like that, then we will accept that we are in the wrong, and in that case (for example), the deputy prime minister (DPM) is also guilty," he said.

It was previously reported that MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki told Pas leaders might have their own interpretation about cash handouts during the election period.

But he said MACC had already opened an investigation into the alleged cash handout during the 15th General Election (GE15) campaign, as shown in the viral video.
