SHAH ALAM – Danish far-right leader Rasmus Paludan announces that he will be burning another holy Quran book in Denmark, Copenhagen today.

Through a post on his Instagram account, the leader of Stram Kurs Party said that he would burn a copy of Quran in front of a mosque in Dortheavej at 12.30pm (7.30pm Malaysian time).

"I am going to do (sic) a protest in front of a mosque in Dortheavej in Copenhagen, Denmark.

"I think it's important that I, as a Christian in a Christian country Denmark show my opinion about certain religions.

"I will bring matches and books to burn," he said in the short video.

Last Saturday, Paludan burned a Quran which sparked outrage among Muslims worldwide.

In Malaysia, the foreign ministry summoned the charge d’affaires of the Swedish embassy in Kuala Lumpur over the matter, where the latter took note of the Malaysian government’s protest and said he would convey the views to Stockholm.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim yesterday condemned Paludan’s act and called for action to be taken against the politician to check what he called an “alarming rise of Islamophobia” in Sweden.
