KUALA LUMPUR - Former Selangor Umno chief Tan Sri Noh Omar arrives at Menara Dato Onn, World Trade Centre (WTC), here, to attend the supreme council meeting, tonight.

He was among the several party leaders who was likely to face displinary action as part of the large scale "cleansing" that would be carried out by the party during the meeting.

The fate of Noh and several Tanjung Karang Umno leaders will be known tonight as they were alleged to have been involved in sabotaging the party in the 15th General Election (GE15).

During the 2022 Umno General Assembly, Noh had criticised the party after the Overseas Umno Club leaders were said to have been prevented from debating as there was a tendency that they would criticise the party’s president and not agreeing to the motion of no contest for the top two posts in the party.

In the meeting tonight, they will be focusing on several major decisions among others the date of the party polls, this year and the fate of some of its leaders who were linked to the act of sabotaging and criticising the party's leadership.

Among those who were present were Umno vice president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali, Federal Territories Umno Liaison committee chairman Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani and Kinabatangan MP Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.
