SHAH ALAM - Pas deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man slams Umno information chief Isham Jalil who seems to act like the 'spokesman' for Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Tuan Ibrahim also reminded Isham not to take advantage of other's trouble regarding the party fund issue, but to instead do his job well in order to ensure all manifestos and promises made by Umno over the 15th General Election (GE15) campaign were fulfilled by the party.

"Isham doesn't need to be the spokesman on behalf of MACC. It is best for him to do his job to fulfill all manifestos and promises during the GE15 campaign previously.

"The people’s struggle with increasing cost of living needs to be addressed," he told Sinar Premium.

Tuan Ibrahim, who is also Kubang Kerian MP, said that Pas was ready to give full cooperation if MACC intended to investigate the party's fund.

"Pas has no problem with being investigated. In fact, when PH slandered Pas of receiving RM90 million from Umno in GE14, MACC had investigated the party's account and made an official statement regarding the defamation," he added.

That was Tuan Ibrahim's comment on Isham's statement which called for MACC to investigate Pas' account after the authority had frozen its ally's account, Bersatu, on Wednesday.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed that investigations were underway and that a number of Bersatu's account were frozen to assist probe of money suspected to be from illegal proceeds.
