BISA award winners inspired to give back to their communities

SHAH ALAM - More than 30 local entrepreneurs were awarded the first ever prestigious business award by Sinar Harian, Business Sinar Harian Awards (BISA) last night

Among the award winners were leading retail supermarket Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd, Sifubads Sdn Bhd, Farm Fresh Sdn Bhd, Andalusia Travel and Tours Sdn Bhd and many more.

Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd Managing Director Datuk Ameer Ali Mydin said he hoped all the entrepreneurs who won will give back for the betterment of their respective communities.

“I think basically when you get an award you are carrying a heavy responsibility because when you get that title, you have a responsibility to your community

"This is a reminder for me and other entrepreneurs as well I hope all of us will do something for our country.

“It’s important for you to do something for our communities,” he said.

As for Andalusia Travel and Tours Director Ida Riswana Idris, she said the award was an eye-opener as this is the first time a Malay newspaper organised such a prestigious award for entrepreneurs.

“I think this also will also motivate the entrepreneurs to do better.

“And of course with this award we have to do better in terms of contributing back to the society more and I think this award is a new beginning for us,” she said.

Malaysian legendary rockstar, Datuk Awie and celebrity Rozita Che Wan were also among the award winners for Bisa Award.
