HULU SELANGOR - Actor Hafidz Roshdi who will be facing a charge for punching his wife's face, greeted media personnel upon arriving at the Kuala Kubu Baru magistrate's court, here, today.

The 29-year old arrived at about 8.30am, before entering the courtroom.

Clad in a green shirt, grey jacket and black pants, Hafidz was accompanied by his lead counsel Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader.

On Friday, it was reported that the actor will be charged for hitting his wife at the Sungai Buloh rest and relaxation (R&R) area.

Selangor Police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the actor would be charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code.

Hafidz's wife Nurul Shuhada Mat Shukri, 29, on March 2 lodged a police report at the Jinjang police station claiming that she was hit by her husband several times suffering injuries to her eye and face.

The actor was previously embroiled in a controversy after there were allegations against him for cheating on his wife. He divorced his wife on Feb 23.

In court, the accused also publicly apologised to the victims' family members, the Malaysian Armed Forces and the public for his actions.
