PENGKALAN CHEPA - "I am going to Paka, Terengganu as my friend there wants to give me a job, says Mat Zin Mahamud, 70 as he was about to start his journey from Pengkalan Chepa, in the eastern state.

He will be cycling of more than 200kms to work as a cleaner.

"I am paid RM20 to RM30 for every cleaning work in the area, including at residential areas," he told Sinar.

He said his four siblings had died due to various diseases inlcuding diabetes and high blood pressure.

Mat Zin said apart from the money he earned to buy food, his neighbours further donated food and drinks.

"I bought this bicycle to go to work," he said proudly.

"But I have no one else in this world. My parents died a long time ago but my father had left me a house to live in," he further said.
