Syamsul Yusof denies Ira Kazar is pregnant
SHAH ALAM - Film director Syamsul Yusof describes the claim that his second wife Ira Kazar is pregnant as slander.
A local media portal reported that Syamsul claimed that all rumors about the pregnancy was false.
"No. That is slander. That's how my life is every morning, I eat breakfast and then people will ask Syamsul this and that. I answer what is it this time?
"I don't know, but if she (Ira) is pregnant then Alhamdulillah. What more can be done?
"If she is pregnant then I will let you know the good news. If it is true then there is nothing to do, I just say Alhamdulillah, please pray for the best but there is nothing (pregnancy) like that now," he said.
On Jan 16, Puteri Sarah filed a divorce from Mohd Syamsul with permission from the court under Section 47 of the Islamic Family Law Act (Federal Territory) 1984.
However, on March 7, Mohd Syamsul refused to divorce Puteri Sarah.
At the proceedings, syarie lawyer Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader who represented Puteri Sarah requested to proceed with hakam without having to go through a conciliatory committee but lawyer Roshdan Sujak who represented Mohd Syamsul had objected.
Federal Territory Syariah Lower Court Judge Akmaluddin Ilyas then ordered the couple to appoint a conciliatory committee representative after deciding that there were no exceptional circumstances in Puteri Sarah's application not to go through the conciliatory committee process to proceed to hakam.
