MACHANG - The people of Kelantan are reminded not to be too obsessed with making decisions in the upcoming state election and electing a government that fails to take care of their welfare as soon as they are given the mandate to govern.

Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the action could have long-term effects if they choose a government that is not in line with the federal level.

"Therefore, Umno once again been offered in the next state polls to give the government in Putrajaya an opportunity to form a coalition with the existing parties, especially Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN), to govern.

"This is to give us space to prove our ability to make changes for the people of Kelantan," he said at the Majlis Santunan Kasih Ramadan at Pusat Transformasi Ilmu, Bukit Tiu here on Sunday.

Also present was the Felcra chairman, Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakob.

According to him, if Umno and BN as well as other coalition parties, fail to make changes, the people can punish them in the next election.

He said that Umno and BN are determined to bring more changes to all the people of this state by solving various problems, including the water issue.

Zahid said that in addition to water, infrastructure facilities are also offered to rural communities to ensure they enjoy a better life.
