KUALA LUMPUR - A moderate earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale was detected in the northern Maluku Sea, Indonesia, at 6.21 pm today.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said in a statement today that the earthquake occurred 161 kilometres (km) south of Talaud Island, Indonesia, at a depth of 80km.

However, it posed no tsunami threat to Malaysia. - BERNAMA

Matchroom confirmed police and media reports that he was involved in the smash, which happened on Monday morning on a main road linking Lagos and Ibadan in the southwest of the country.

Around 20 to 25 houses were burned in the fire and there were no reports of casualties.

The blaze was extinguished at about 9.30 pm after three fire engines dispatched by the Manado city government arrived at the scene.

A car travelling toward the capital, Brasilia, crossed into the opposite lane and collided head-on with another vehicle.
