KOTA BHARU - Muafakat Nasional president Tan Sri Annuar Musa has insisted that he will choose and join a party that is heading in the right direction as soon as he returns to politics after the month of Syawal.

The former Umno secretary-general was still tight-lipped about the political party that he would join later.

"I will be more active and focus on matters that are good and creating harmony among the people.

"We will know which party in a day or two. Now we are still in the Raya mood, so let's talk less about politics and focus on celebrating Raya," he said when met by reporters at the Kelantan Pas Aidilfitri Open House at Stadium Sultan Muhammad IV, here, today.

Also present were Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob and Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.

Annuar's presence at the event gained attention. He said he attended the event on an invitation from the Kelantan government.

"We are all friends, so during this festive month we can celebrate together. "I have also attended the open house held at Pengkalan Chepa last year, so this is not the first time I have come.

"I went to all Aidilfitri events, and even yesterday I went to Ketereh MP Major General (B) Datuk Khlir Mohd Nor's house," he said.

Annuar also insisted that he never retired from politics but was taking a break for a few months.

"I haven't retired yet, I was only sacked from Umno.

"I have only been active for the last two or three months. I took the opportunity to focus on personal matters, such as my spirituality. I haven't retired, and Insya-Allah, I will be active again after this," he said.

Meanwhile, when asked about the Malaysia Madani Open House with the Prime Minister to be held in the state on May 12, he said he had not received any invitations so far.

"I will attend if there is an invitation or if I'm free then," he said.
