Cops probe on viral bike, lorry crash at LDP

PETALING JAYA - Cops have started a probe into an accident that went viral on social media over the weekend, involving a motorcycle and a lorry on the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP).

Petaling Jaya district police assistant chief Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the accident was captured on a video uploaded by a Facebook user Aidan Ahmad on Dashcam Owners Malaysia Facebook page.

“Based on the recording the incident at the LDP from Puchong heading to Kepong took place at 3.30pm, on Friday.

“Police reports have been made by the lorry driver and the case is investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said in a statement on Sunday.

Authorities are urging anyone with information linked to the accident to come forward and report to the nearest police station or contact Assistant Traffic Investigation Officer Sergeant Aizuddin Awang at 013-9003499 to assist in investigations.
