LANGKAWI - The incident of a six-year-old boy who drove a car for approximately 2.5 kilometres before hitting a lamp post in Jalan Bukit Tangga, Simpang Kenyum, here, on Tuesday night has been linked to supernatural elements.

Although the authenticity of the story could not be verified, the audio recording of the boy's conversation narrating the incident has now gone viral on social media since last night (Wednesday).

The boy said he was not the one driving the car at the time of the incident, but a man called "Tok Wan" was the one behind the wheel.

Besides "Tok Wan", he also mentioned two other names of the men who were purportedly inside the Toyota Vios car namely "Pak Lang" and "Pak Cik".

The boy said the three men had invited him to play a video game.

He described "Tok Wan" as a man who was "not handsome" with hairy body and a high temperature.

"(Tok Wan) was not handsome, his body was hot and he is hairy. Pak Lang does not have body hair, he brought along a handsome elephant too. Pak Cik sat infont (passenger's seat)," the boy said.

In the same recording shared on TikTok by @daichidontcare, a man whose identity cannot be confirmed commented on the incident.

He said he was left scratching his head wondering how the boy was able to drive the car for as far as 2.5 kilometres and managed to reverse the car.

"How could he have possibly got out of the house, shifted the gear and released the handbrake? How did the boy manage to reverse the car, make a turn and entered the road," the social media user said.

The man added that he wondered how a six-year-old's hands were strong enough to release the handbrake as it was quite hard (for a small child) to do so.

Yesterday, it was reported that a six-year-old boy drove a car accompanied by his three-year-old brother.

The boy was reportedly driving the car to the store before the car crashed into the side of the road at Jalan Bukit Tangga, here.

District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Shariman Ashari said the boy who drove the car suffered an injury on his chin while his brother was not injured.

Investigation found that the accident happened after the boy lost control of the car. He drove the car without his parents' knowledge from their house

"It was also found that at the time of incident, the siblings' father was sleeping. Their mother was with them before she went to the bathroom and when she came out, she found that both her children were missing," he said in a statement, today.

The case is being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987 and under Section 31(1) (a) of the Child Act 2001.
