KUANTAN - Friends of Huffaz Pahang are condemning and objecting against artist Coldplay's decision to hold a concert in this country.

Its chairman Dr Felza Zulhibri Abd Hamid, said the objection was made due to the entertainment being clearly against Islamic sharia law.

He added that the band also supported lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people.

"We hope that the concept of the Madani government that is currently being promoted does not insult the sanctity of Islam by welcoming them.

"There are parties who even welcome them as if they condone immorality and things that clearly violate Islamic sharia law," he said in a statement on Thursday.

Felza Zulhibri said the organisation also hopes that the government will stop fooling the people by mixing things that are right and wrong.

" First you invite something that is immoral then you invite religious scholars as if trying to cover up the immorality committed.

"May Allah SWT forgive the sins we have committed and always protect us, especially the scholars, from being used by the enemies of Islam," he added.

Friends of Huffaz Pahang is a religious non-governmental organisation.
