The Little Mermaid star Awkwafina reveals she used to live in KL
The excitement over the newly released The Little Mermaid is at an all-time high, but here’s a fun fact that will kick things up a notch.
Awkwafina, the American actress who took on the role of voicing the friendly seagull Scuttle, shared that she used to live in Kuala Lumpur.
In a promo video for cinema chain TGV Cinemas, the actress whose real name is Nora Lum said she used to watch movies at TGV.
“I used to go watch movies there, it’s a good place,” she said.
The interviewer, left intrigued, asked: “Oh, really?”
“Yeah, when I lived in KL,” said Awkwafina.
The actress who also starred in Crazy Rich Asians, and Ocean’s 8 has never spoken about living in KL in previous interviews.
However, she did express her love for “roti canai”, putting KL on the list of one of her favourite food cities.
