Sanusi defends claim Penang belongs to Kedah, ready to face court

He said his stance has not changed and the statements made are based on facts, not on a whim.
"I am ready to be in court. I am prepared to that extent (to defend my argument). Anywhere," he said when met after officiating the Kedah state-level Farmers, Breeders and Fishermen's Day at the Darul Aman Stadium grounds on Thursday.
He said this when asked to comment on the statement of Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow who insisted that the matter should be taken to court to be decided.
In the meantime, DAP national chairman Lim Guan Eng along with several state DAP leaders accompanied Jelutong MP RSN Rayer to file a police report against Muhammad Sanusi regarding his controversial statement.
DAP described Muhammad Sanusi as a dangerous leader because he often issued provocative statements that could disturb the peace of the country besides questioning Penang's sovereignty.
Muhammad Sanusi, however, is not afraid of any action that would be taken against him due to having a solid foundation on the statements made before.
"Let the police investigate. If they have made a police report. They are afraid because they have no background knowledge whereas I have a lot of information (regarding the issue)," he said without wanting to comment further.
On Monday, Muhammad Sanusi insisted that Penang belongs to Kedah and that the state only has a state border with Perak and Perlis.
He claimed that his party did not need to retract the statement because Penang had never 'slipped off' from Kedah.
