MELAKA - Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's visit to four locations in Melaka is expected to boost Pakatan Harapan's (PH) campaign momentum as the coalition steps up its efforts to secure voter support ahead of the Nov 14 state election.

Melaka PH chairman Adly Zahari said Anwar, who is also the coalition's chairman, would meet voters and campaign machinery in Klebang, Ayer Keroh, Paya Rumput and Machap Jaya on the sixth day of campaigning.

He said the visit would provide encouragement to PH candidates and their campaign teams as they continued engaging with voters across the state.

"The PH Election Department welcomes Anwar's presence in his capacity as PH chairman to engage with voters and campaign machinery in the four areas.

"His presence will motivate our candidates and campaign machinery, while strengthening voter support for PH," he said at the coalition's daily press conference at its main operations room in Bukit Baru today.

Meanwhile, Adly said PH candidates would continue addressing issues involving public amenities and infrastructure throughout the remaining campaign period.

Among the concerns they would focus on were traffic congestion, lengthy government procedures and difficulties faced by local traders.

"During the remainder of the campaign, our candidates will continue listening to residents about frequently congested roads, lengthy government procedures and the obstacles faced by local traders.

"The feedback is important in determining the priorities of each state constituency. Voters have the right to assess the implementation of our pledges through measurable outcomes, including travel times, application processing periods, job opportunities and income generated in Melaka," he said.

The Election Commission has set Nov 14 as polling day for the Melaka state election, while early voting will take place on Nov 10.
