SHAH ALAM - Bersatu central information committee member Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik says the 15th general election (GE15) was a sweeping wave towards fostering Malay unity.

He said the collaboration between Bersatu and Pas has strengthened their shared objective and consolidated their collective efforts.

"When Bersatu joins forces with Pas, it creates a strong foundation for their collective struggle. When Bersatu is together with Pas, the common features can make a solid foundation for a fight.

"I have confidence that this wave will endure until the state election as we have seemingly adopted a political landscape similar to United States with two opposing ideologies represented by PN and PH," he said.

He said this on Sinar Wacana Series 400 titled PRN: Who Should the People Choose? which took place at the Karangkraf Group Complex on Tuesday.

The show was hosted by Ismail Adnan and featured three other panelists - Muafakat Nasional (MN) president Tan Sri Annuar Musa, Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Shamsuddin and PKR central leader council member Nor Azrina Surip.

At the same time, Rahim also said that every political party must have an ideology and direction of fight.

He said voters will look at the party's ideology before voting.

"What I can say is the ideology displayed by PN is clearer because we want 'PN Best' which is attentive, stable and clean.

"But the ideology of the other side (the government), we don't see anymore including Umno, maybe it wants to be safe and so does Amanah," he said.
