PM and DPM to decide on remaining seats in PH-BN talks - Selangor MB

SABAK BERNAM - The negotiations between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) for the state election in Selangor have left three seats undecided.

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said that the decision regarding these three seats will be left to the leadership of both parties.

"PH believes that the Prime Minister (PM) and the Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) should have the final say on the allocation of these two or three seats," he said during a press conference after introducing the Sabak Bernam Development Area (SABDA) at Nazbell Cottage and Garden in Sungai Besar.

Amirudin explained that during a meeting last Wednesday, PH successfully completed 90% of the seats allocation process in the state.

"We have made significant progress, as there are now only two or three seats left for negotiation out of the previous seven," he said.

Amirudin provided an example of the northern area in Selangor, stating that only one state assembly seat in Sabak Bernam to Kapar remains undecided.

One of the three seats in the Kuala Selangor Parliament is still under negotiation between BN and Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah).

"Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) contested two seats in the Kuala Selangor Parliament, and previously the seat in Jeram was won by Bersatu, but they have since left PH.

"With Bersatu's departure from PH, Amanah has taken on the role of coordinator in the Jeram state assembly, while BN had won the seat in the 2008 and 2013 elections," he added.
