JAKARTA, Indonesia - Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (Unisza) is strengthening cooperation with two of Indonesia’s universities in knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship development.

The latest memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Unisza, Universitas Nasional Jakarta and Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung build on five years of previous cooperation among the universities.

Unisza in a statement noted the MoUs inked last week in Jakarta and Bandung will also focus on its International Community and Entrepreneurship Program (Icon).

A total of 17 Uniszastudents were sent to the Pasar Baru Trade Center, Bandung recently to help them understand the manufacturing process and the interdependent nature of the business world.

Through Icon, they learn how to deal with the marketing and the management in business networks from the local suppliers of clothing, food textile, and handicraft products.

This programme is welcomed and encouraged by the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta and Education Malaysia Indonesia (EMI), an official representative of Malaysia’s Higher Education Ministry. - BERNAMA
